Our Story and Mission
Mrs. Field’s Closet was founded to honor the legacy of Mrs. Becky Field—a beloved school counselor whose compassion and unwavering belief in the potential of every student left a lasting impact on the Minot community. She understood that when basic needs are met, students can focus on learning, growing, and building a brighter future.
Our mission is to empower youth by providing essential life necessities like hygiene products, school supplies, and clothing ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and confidence. We are committed to creating safe, welcoming spaces within our schools where students feel supported, seen, and valued.
This work is fueled by the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community members who believe in a child’s right to succeed. Every donated item and every dollar contributed helps us fill the gap between need and access.
Whether it’s a fresh toothbrush, a clean pair of socks, or a backpack full of supplies, your support becomes a lifeline of hope for a student in need.

Mrs. Field’s Closet Provides:
Hygiene Products: Deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, hair brush, feminine care products, etc.
School Supplies: Backpacks, notebooks, pencils, calculators, etc.
Clothing: Socks, underwear, jackets, coats, gloves (may not be available at all locations).

Located in Minot, ND, we are expanding our reach to support more students and foster positive change in our community and beyond.
Essential Supplies Available
Over 10,000 essential supplies, including school materials and hygiene products, have been distributed to those in need.
Students Served
We have reached nearly 3,000 students, providing them with the tools they need to succeed in their educational journey.
Growing Impact
The need continues to grow, and so does the impact. In 2025 alone, Mrs. Field’s Closet served nearly 3,000 students across its locations, reflecting both the increasing demand for in-school resources and the strength of community support behind this mission. Each number represents a student who was able to focus more fully on learning because essential needs were met with dignity and care.

“One student was very ashamed that she didn’t have school supplies, and when I took her to see the room, she was able to get what she needed and her tone changed for the better. She was ready to go to class.”

“A student was in transition and their toothbrush got left behind. I was able to visit with the student and get them a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a comb. I wish you could’ve seen the joy and look of relief on their face! So glad we had the closet especially during this time for my friend. ❤️🩹”
